Your journey begins at the Juan Santamaría International Airport, in Alajuela, surrounded by mountains and green landscapes, and continues toward the warm plains of Guanacaste until you reach the famous beaches of Tamarindo.
The trip takes approximately 5 hours, depending mainly on traffic conditions and the time of day. Currently, part of the route may be affected by road renovation and construction of about 45 kilometers between Barranca (Puntarenas) and Limonal, so travel time may vary.
But more than a simple transfer, this route offers an interesting transformation of the Costa Rican landscape. As we advance, we leave behind the mountains of Alajuela and progressively enter the plains and lowlands of Guanacaste. The landscape changes, the vegetation transforms, and even the climate begins to feel different.
Finally, we arrive at Tamarindo, one of the most visited beach destinations in Costa Rica, known for its beautiful sunsets, international atmosphere and a wide range of hotels, restaurants, activities and tourist services.
